MoveMentors is a directory and booking platform for movement classes (yoga, pilates, barre, meditation and breathwork, fitness and strength, and more), taught in person or online by independent teachers and small studios. Students find a class and book it in a few taps. Teachers and studios keep 100% of what students pay, with no commission.
There are three kinds of accounts:
- Students find and book classes, pay teachers and studios, and leave reviews. You can also book as a guest with just your name and email.
- Teachers (called mentors in the dashboard) run their own classes under their own name. They keep a public profile, set their schedule and prices, and get paid directly.
- Studios run a space, usually with a few rooms and a small team of instructors. On top of classes and bookings, they get an instructor roster, room scheduling without double bookings, and the option to rent out their space to visiting teachers.
What you can do here
Find a class
Browse by city and category, or search for a teacher or studio. Filter by date, by in person or online, and by language. Every class shows its dates, its price and where it happens: a real address, or an online class with a join link sent once your booking is confirmed.
Book with the teacher or studio
Pay by card through Stripe, or by bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, cash or crypto, depending on what each host accepts. A card booking holds your seat for 30 minutes while you pay and confirms once the payment goes through. Other methods confirm straight away, and you pay the host the way they explain.
Show up and move
Add the booking to your calendar and get a reminder email before class. If your plans change, move or cancel the booking within the host's cancellation policy.
Leave a review
After class you can leave the teacher or studio a public review. Reviews help new students decide.
What MoveMentors is not
- Not a content feed. Classes come first, in person at a real address or live online with a real teacher. Many teachers also sell class recordings from their video library; a video you buy or claim free saves to your MoveMentors account.
- Not an aggregator. Teachers and studios manage their own profiles, schedules and prices. We don't copy listings from other sites.
- Not medical advice. If you have an injury or a health condition, ask your teacher about modifications before class. MoveMentors doesn't check medical claims.
How we make money
Teachers and studios never pay a commission on bookings. They keep 100% of what students pay, minus Stripe's card fee when a student pays by card. Students don't pay MoveMentors anything to book.
MoveMentors earns from:
- Pro and Premium plans. Teachers pay $9.99 or $19.99 a month, studios $49 or $99 a month. See pricing.
- Boosts. A teacher can pay $5 to show a session first in the classes directory until it starts.
- Prepaid add-ons. Credit for text and WhatsApp reminders, and for video storage and streaming.
- Ads on free teacher profiles.
Privacy and data
We store the minimum data needed to run bookings: your name, email, the addresses you have booked at, and your payment method preference. We do not sell your data, ever. Read the full privacy policy for the legal text.
