MoveMentors is a marketplace for in-person movement classes: yoga, pilates, dance, breathwork, mobility, strength, sound healing, qigong, capoeira, anything that involves people in a room together moving. We do not host online or video classes. Every booking on the platform is for a real class at a real address.
There are three kinds of accounts:
- Students book classes, pay teachers and studios, leave reviews, and manage their own schedule.
- Mentors are individual teachers who run their own classes. They keep a public profile, manage their own schedule, accept payments through their preferred method, and get paid out directly.
- Studios are businesses that run a venue (or several) and a roster of teachers. They get the same tools as mentors plus multi-location, mentor roster management, and an embeddable booking widget for their own website.
What you can do here
Find a class
Browse by city, by category, by mentor, or by studio. Every class has real dates, real prices, and a real address you can navigate to. Filter by distance, price, time of day, or whether you can bring a friend.
Book directly with the teacher or studio
Pay with card via Stripe, bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, cash on arrival, or crypto, depending on what each host accepts. Stripe payments process instantly; manual methods follow the host's instructions and they confirm payment on their end.
Show up and move
Add the booking to your calendar in one tap (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or download an .ics file). Get reminders before class. Cancel within the policy window if your plans change.
Leave a review
After class is done you can leave the mentor or studio a public review. Reviews are how new students decide who to trust.
What MoveMentors is not
- Not a video platform. We do not host live-streamed or recorded classes. If a class shows up here, it is happening in person at a specific address.
- Not an aggregator. Mentors and studios manage their own profiles, schedules, and prices directly. We do not scrape ClassPass or similar sites.
- Not a substitute for talking to a doctor. If you have an injury or medical condition, ask your teacher about modifications before class. MoveMentors does not vet medical claims.
How we make money
Mentors and studios on the free tier can list classes and accept bookings without paying anything to MoveMentors directly. They keep 100 percent of what students pay them, minus standard Stripe fees if they use card payments.
Mentors and studios on Pro or Premium pay a flat monthly or annual subscription that unlocks higher visibility, more features, more locations, financial reporting, and the embed widget. See the subscription tiers article for the full breakdown.
We do not take a per-booking commission. The price the student pays is the price the host receives.
Privacy and data
We store the minimum data needed to run bookings: your name, email, the addresses you have booked at, and your payment method preference. We do not sell your data, ever. Read the full privacy policy for the legal text.
