Your video library lets you sell or share class recordings and courses straight from your MoveMentors page. Clients buy with a free MoveMentors account; every video they buy or claim saves to their account, ready to watch on any device they sign in on.
What you need
- A PRO or PREMIUM plan (publishing videos is a PRO feature, like online classes).
- Stripe connected. The library is card-only (buyers pay and get instant access), so this is required before you can upload or publish anything. You keep 100 percent of every sale.
- A little video credit. Credit pays for keeping videos online (about $1.20 per hour of video per month) and streaming them (about $0.24 per hour watched). Buy it on the Library page; it never touches your class payments. Turn on auto top-up and we refill it from your card automatically, never more than once a day.
Upload and publish
- Open Library in your dashboard.
- Tap Choose a video and pick the recording on your phone or computer. Uploads resume by themselves if your wifi hiccups.
- While it processes, give it a title and a price. Price 0 makes it free: a nice taster for new clients, who claim it with a free MoveMentors account to watch.
- Flip Published. The video appears on your public page, ready to sell.
Want to share a video privately instead? Switch it to Link only: it stays off your page, and only people you send the link to can find it.
Group videos into a course
Teaching something across several videos? Group them into a series, like a four-week beginners' course. On the Library page, create a collection, give it a name, and assign each video to it in the order you want them watched. Every video in the series then shows the whole course as a numbered playlist, so clients move from one part to the next without hunting around. Removing a video from a series, or deleting the series, never deletes the videos themselves; they just go back to standing on their own.
Give someone access yourself
Someone paid you in cash, or a loyal client earned a thank-you? On the Library page, open Give someone access under the video and type their email. They get an email pointing them to the video page; they sign in (or create a free account) with that same email and the video unlocks, saved to their account like a paid purchase. You can revoke the access from the same place.
How clients watch
Watching takes a free MoveMentors account. When a client buys a video, or claims a free one, it saves to their account and shows up under My videos at /videos/mine. They can watch on any device they sign in on, and playback resumes right where they left off, even if they start on their phone and finish on a laptop. Nothing to keep safe, nothing to lose: their videos are simply in their account.
Clients who bought back when we emailed watch links lose nothing. An old emailed link still works as a pointer: clicking it asks them to sign in, or create a free account, with the email the video was bought with, and the purchase attaches to that account automatically. The same goes for any guest-era purchase the moment its email registers or signs in.
Include videos in your membership
If you sell a subscription plan, you can fold videos into it. Flip Include with my membership on a video on the Library page and your active subscribers watch it at no extra cost. Publish a new video with the toggle on and subscribers can watch it right away. The subscribe section on your profile advertises how many videos are included, one more reason for a regular to commit. Access through the membership lasts exactly as long as the subscription: if it is cancelled or paused, those videos lock again, while anything the client bought outright stays theirs.
Subscribers hear about new videos
When you publish a new video, clients with an active subscription to you get a short email about it. Anyone can switch those emails off under Settings, then Notifications: the switch is called "New videos from your mentors".
Money, refunds, and fairness
- Every sale goes straight to your Stripe account. MoveMentors takes nothing from video sales.
- If you refund a purchase, the buyer's access ends automatically and they're notified.
- If your video credit ever runs out, publishing and new sales pause until you top up, but clients who already paid keep watching. Always.
- If the balance stays empty for 60 days, your videos are unpublished automatically (a top-up brings them right back). After 150 days, videos nobody bought are removed; clients who bought a video get 90 days of notice by email before anything of theirs disappears.
Let people sample it first
Add a preview to any video: a short piece of the real footage (10 to 120 seconds, you pick where it starts) that anyone can watch on the video page without paying. One tap on Create preview uses the first 60 seconds. Buyers get a feel for your style and pace, which sells the video far better than a thumbnail. The full video itself stays locked until purchase.
Honest expectations about copying
Access is tied to each client's account: the full video only streams for a signed-in viewer with access, over short-lived links that expire in minutes, which stops casual sharing. But like every video platform, someone determined enough can record their screen. Price your videos with that reality in mind.
Taxes
You are the seller of record for your videos, exactly like your class payments. If you sell to clients in other countries, digital-content tax rules (like EU VAT on e-services) are your responsibility. When in doubt, ask your accountant.
Removing videos
You can unpublish anytime (buyers keep access). Deleting is only possible while no one has bought the video; once there are buyers, deleting becomes unpublishing so you never break a paid promise. If you believe a video on MoveMentors infringes your rights, write to legal@movementors.com.
