Private booking lets the active instructors on your roster sell one-on-one sessions in one of your studio rooms, at times they open themselves. You decide which rooms allow it; each instructor sets their own hours and prices.
Turn it on
- Go to Locations in your studio dashboard.
- On a studio room, click Private sessions: off.
- Tick Allow private session booking.
- Optionally set the Private booking window: the times of day clients can book private sessions in that room. Leave it as is to use the room's operating hours.
- Click Save. The room's card now shows Private sessions: on.
What happens next
Active instructors on your roster, employees and renters, can open their weekly availability and set prices for this room on their Private sessions page, for sessions of 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Clients book an open time from the private session panel on the instructor's public profile. The room is protected: a private booking cannot overlap anything already scheduled in the room, even across different instructors.

Payment and commission
Private sessions are paid off-platform, even though your studio's classes can take card payments. The session comes in as pending for the instructor, who confirms it and arranges payment with the client using the off-platform methods they accept. The money goes to the instructor, not to your studio. If the client has a class pack with that instructor, the pack can cover the session instead. There is no booking commission.
The instructor gets the booking email; your studio is not emailed about private bookings.
Turning it off
Click Private sessions: on, untick Allow private session booking and click Save. New private bookings stop right away; sessions already booked stay on the calendar.
Who controls which hours
The window you set on the room is the outer boundary. Within it, each instructor opens their own availability, and they can split a day into several blocks (for example 9:00 to 12:00 and 2:00 to 5:00) so only the times someone is actually teaching are offered. If a stretch of the day has no one to teach, leave it out of the instructors' availability, or narrow the room's window.
