Private lessons in your open hours

Weekend workshops with guest teachers

How clients book
They find you
Clients open the profile or class link you share, or find you in the MoveMentors directory. There's no app to download.
They pick a session
They choose a date and book as a guest or with an account. Parents can book for their children from one account.
They pay
A card payment holds the seat for 30 minutes and confirms the booking once it goes through. Cash, bank transfer and free bookings are confirmed straight away.
They get reminders
Clients get a confirmation email and a reminder before class, and can cancel or reschedule within your policy.

A studio account adds an instructor roster, with employee and renter roles and a teacher assigned to each session. Room scheduling stops double bookings, and you can rent rooms to visiting teachers. The pricing page shows what each studio plan includes.
Pay yearly and teachers save 17%, studios 15%. Stripe's processing fee comes out of each card payment. A boost puts one session first in the directory until it starts. It costs $5 on any plan and is not refundable.

A salsa and bachata teacher with a monthly workshop
Two weekly group classes capped at 16, private lessons on Thursday evenings, and a monthly Saturday workshop with a guest co-host. Regulars buy ten-class cards, which need Pro at $9.99 a month. Everything else runs on the free plan.

Before you sign up for any booking system, check three things: how long the contract runs, whether it takes a cut of each booking, and what setup costs. MoveMentors has no contract, no booking commission and no setup fee, and you can set it up yourself on the free plan.

Can I run a weekend Dance workshop with an agenda?
Yes, on every plan. Create an event, add a day-by-day agenda and credit up to four co-hosts, such as a guest teacher. Students see the agenda before they pay.
Can students book private lessons in my open hours?
Yes. Set weekly hours and prices for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minute lessons. Students pick a length and a free time, the request reaches you as pending, and you confirm it and arrange payment.
Can parents book classes for their children?
Yes. Parents add family members to their account, up to 25, and choose who each booking is for. You see the child's name and any notes, such as an injury, on your roster, while the receipt stays with the parent.
Can I sell class cards?
Yes, on Pro at $9.99 a month, or on Premium. Set the number of classes, the price and the expiry. Dancers pay by card and use one class at a time. Studio accounts don't sell class cards yet.
Can students see the level of a class?
Yes. Set a level on each class, from beginner to expert, and it shows on the class page. The directory doesn't filter by level yet.
Is there a Dance category in the MoveMentors directory?
Not yet. The directory has categories such as Yoga, Pilates, Barre and Mind-Body Movement, which includes 5Rhythms, but no Dance section. The booking tools on this page work for any Dance class, and you share your profile or class links with your students.
What MoveMentors does not do
Better to know before you set up than after.
- There's no Dance category in the directory yet, so Dance classes have no section of their own there. Share your profile and class links with your students.
- No no-show fees. Late cancellations follow the class refund policy, and nothing extra is charged.
- No automatic cancellation when a class is under-booked. You decide, and you cancel it yourself.
- No unlisted or invite-only classes. Every published class shows on your public profile.
- No level filter in the directory yet. You can set a level on each class, and it shows on the class page.
- No iOS or Android app. Clients book in the browser and can add MoveMentors to their home screen.
- No payroll. Studios pay their instructors outside MoveMentors.
- Studio accounts do not sell class packs or memberships yet. Those are part of teacher plans.
