Every certification on the platform is reviewed. Every review is from a real, verified booking. Every dollar a student pays goes directly to their instructor.
Most platforms in this space take 20 to 30 percent of every class, push the studio brand ahead of the person teaching, and write cancellation policies that protect themselves first. Instructors get a smaller cut and less visibility. Clients get less choice and more friction.
We started MoveMentors to flip that. Subscription pricing for instructors instead of commission. Instructor-led profiles. Cancellation policies the instructor controls. The platform earns by being useful, not by skimming.
I'm Julien, the founder of MoveMentors. The reason this platform exists is personal.
My partner is a yoga teacher. We live in Aruba, a small island in the Caribbean. For years she fought the same uphill battle every independent teacher knows. The platforms that exist either don't work here at all (payment providers don't cover the territory), or they take 10 to 20% of every class she taught. On an island, 30 students at $20 each isn't a lot of revenue to begin with. Losing 20% of that to a platform she didn't choose felt absurd.
I've spent my career building software. So I built her something that actually works for an independent teacher on a small island. That something turned into MoveMentors.
MoveMentors is for the teachers. Think of it as the OpenTable for movement. The platform itself is free to use; we offer optional paid plans for advanced features (Pro and Premium), but we never take a per-class cut. Your students pay you directly, in whichever method actually works in your market: Stripe for cards, plus bank transfer, cash, PayPal, Wise, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle. Your booking page is mobile-friendly in seven languages, embeddable on your own site, with class packs, promo codes, retreats, tipping, and calendar sync there when you want them.
