On group classes you can book for up to 20 people in one booking, as long as there are enough seats. One person books and pays for everyone and adds a name for each extra person, so the teacher knows who is coming. Each person pays the class price.
When to use it
- A friend wants to join you: book for 2 people.
- A small group of friends or family: book for everyone at once.
- More than 20 people, or a class just for your group: ask the teacher for a private session instead (see below).
How to book for several people
Open the class page
Pick a session and select Continue to booking.
Set the number of people
Use How many people? to set the number, counting yourself. The most you can book is 20, or the seats left if there are fewer. The total is the class price times the number of people.
Add each person
A card appears for each extra person: Attendee 2, Attendee 3 and so on. Their full name is required and their email is optional.
Pay
Pay for the whole group with one payment method. It's one booking and one payment to the teacher.
What the other people need to do
- They don't need a MoveMentors account.
- If you added their email, they get the booking confirmation too, with the calendar file.
- Otherwise, nothing. They just come to class.
The teacher sees how many people are coming, with the names and any emails you added.
What if one person cannot make it
A booking is changed or cancelled as a whole. You can't lower the number of people or cancel one person online. Your options:
1. Come with fewer people
Nothing changes on MoveMentors, and the booking stays paid for the whole group. Whether the teacher refunds the empty seat is up to them.
2. Bring someone else
Tell the teacher who is coming in their place, so their list is right.
3. Ask the teacher
To drop one person and get money back for their seat, contact the teacher. Refunds come from the teacher and follow their cancellation policy.
4. Move the whole group
If a different date works for everyone, select Move to another day on your booking page. In Move your booking, pick another session of the same class. The whole group moves together, as long as that session has enough seats.
Paying separately
One booking means one payment. If your friends want to pay for themselves, each person makes their own booking for one person. Tell the teacher you're coming together.
Group discounts
There's no automatic group discount. Each person pays the class price, or the early-bird, pay-what-you-can or local rate when the class has one. If you're organising a large group, ask the teacher about a private session.
A private session for your group
If you want the teacher just for your group, select Request a private session on the teacher's profile. Tell them the occasion, how many people, and your preferred dates and time of day, and they reply with availability and pricing. You need to be signed in to send a request.
Add-ons for groups
Add-ons don't change with the number of people. Each add-on has its own quantity, so choose how many you need, for example one mat rental per person.
Common questions
Can I add people after I have already booked? Not to the same booking. Make a second booking for the extra people if there's room, or contact the teacher.
Can my friend leave a review on the class even if they did not book? A review belongs to a booking, and only the person who made the booking can leave it. Friends who want to review need their own booking.
Does the teacher see my friends' email addresses? Only if you add them. Emails are optional for the extra people.
The class doesn't have enough seats for my group. You can't book more people than there are seats. Book fewer people, pick another session, join the waitlist, or request a private session.
