A free plan, not a free trial
The free plan has no end date, takes no booking commission and does not ask for a card. The trade-offs are clear: free profiles show ads, you get three photos, and paid tools such as class packs and online classes stay locked until you upgrade.
When a paid plan pays for itself
Stay on the free plan for as long as it covers what you do. Move up when one of these starts to apply.

How clients book
They find you
Clients open the profile or class link you share, or find you in the MoveMentors directory. There is no app to download.
They pick a session
They choose a date and book as a guest or with an account. Parents can book for their children from one account.
They pay
A card payment holds the seat for 30 minutes and confirms the booking once it goes through. Cash, bank transfer and free bookings confirm straight away.
They get reminders
Clients get a confirmation email and a reminder before class, and can cancel or reschedule within your policy.
Example setup
A children's ballet class that runs free
A Saturday class for children capped at 12, booked by parents from their own accounts, plus a holiday workshop with an agenda. Parents pay by card or bank transfer, and nothing here needs a paid plan.
What MoveMentors does not do
Better to know before you set up than after.
- No dance category in the directory yet, so dance classes have no section of their own there. Share your profile and class links with your students.
- No no-show fees. Late cancellations follow the class refund policy, and nothing extra is charged.
- No automatic cancellation when a class is under-booked. You decide, and you cancel it yourself.
- No unlisted or invite-only classes. Every published class shows on your public profile.
- No level filter in the directory yet. You can set a level on each class, and it shows on the class page.
- No iOS or Android app. Clients book in the browser and can add MoveMentors to their home screen.
- No payroll. Studios pay their instructors outside MoveMentors.
- Studio accounts do not sell class packs or memberships yet. Those are part of teacher plans.
Frequently asked questions
Is there free booking software for dance classes?
Yes. The MoveMentors free plan has no end date and no booking commission. It covers group classes with capacity limits, waitlists, private lessons, workshops with agendas and card or cash payments. Free profiles show ads.
Can parents book for their children on the free plan?
Yes. Family bookings work on every plan. Parents add their children to one account, choose who each booking is for, and pay from the same account.
Do class cards work on the free plan?
No. Class cards and promo codes need Pro, at $9.99 a month or $99 a year. On the free plan, students pay per class.
Can I take cash for dance classes?
Yes. Accept cash, bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and other methods alongside card payments. Cash and transfer bookings confirm straight away, and you collect the money yourself.
Will my dance classes show in the directory?
Your profile and published classes are public, but there is no dance category yet, so dance classes have no section of their own. Share your profile and class links with your students.
